Directions to D.C. from Airports
Dulles, BWI, and
Reagan
Dulles Airport (IAD) : Take the silver line express bus (nonstop service) from Dulles airport to the Wiehle-Reston East Metro Station. This is about a 15 minute journey and costs $5. From the Wiehle-Reston East Metro Station, take the silver line on the D.C. Metro in the direction of Largo Town Center. This will take you to the many stops within the city and should take about 45 minutes.
Baltimore Airport (BWI) : Take the MARC train directly from BWI into D.C. The train costs $7 and you can purchase tickets online or at the airport. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Alternatively, you can take the Amtrak train directly from BWI into the city to arrive in D.C. in 30 minutes. Do be aware that Amtrak is slightly more expensive and ticket prices fluctuate.
Reagan Airport (DCA) : Follow signs within the airport guiding you to the Reagan airport D.C. Metro stop. Take either the blue line in the direction of Largo Town Center or the yellow line in the direction of Fort Totten. Either of these lines will get you into the city in a matter of minutes!

Bus
Metro :
The George Washington University Foggy Bottom campus is served by public transit options, including Foggy Bottom GWU Metrorail Station - right next to campus (Blue, Silver, and Orange Lines), numerous Metrobus routes and commuter buses from Maryland and Virginia.
Circulator Bus:
The DC Circulator also offers convenient downtown service between Georgetown and Union Station as well as the National Mall.
Uber/Lyft:
Both Uver and Lyft are services provided in the D.C. area. To use them, simply download either the Uber of Lyft app to your smartphone, input your destination, and go!

Bus:
Fares vary, but normally are $2.00. Metrobus names and routes can be confusing at first. Visit the interactive map at goDCgo for full details about the easiest way to take a bus to your destination.
